This course is aimed at foster carers working with children and young people with any form of brain injury, either in a residential setting or within the community.
The key areas of the course are as follows:
- What is acquired brain injury?
- Discussions on various types/causes – Cerebral Function
- Work-based activity group – recognition types and causes in the community
- Care of young people
- Care in the community
- Work-based activity group – patients living/working within the community
This course meets the Children’s Home Quality Standards as outlined in The Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 & Children’s Homes Quality Standards 2015.
